Meet Our Founders and Their Story
Dr.J S Kelkar Memorial Foundation is a NGO working for Public Health, Education, Environment Conservation, Disaster Relief & Various Social initiatives.
It started as group of people coming togethar Under banner ‘Lifeline Ratnagiri’ for contributing in various Social initiatives (2018) To honour legacy of Great Social Worker, Ex Nagaradhyksha’ of Ratnagiri (For record of nearly 12 years) Late Dr.J.S Kelkar, it was decided to name it as Dr.J.S Kelkar Memorial Foundation.
Further to give it an organised frame work and expand its work pan India, it was registered as Section 8.Co. (NGO) With Govt.of India.
Now it is also recognised by NITI Aayog,Govt.Of India.
It also has ISO recognition and CSR Certification.
Our organization is associated as CSR Project management Consultancy, specially for various Public Health & social projects with reputed organizations.

We have been providing an incredible support to this social act via Health-care facilities, educational opportunities, Disaster Rehabilitation, Institutions for the differently challenged children and so much more.
This organization was established with an initiative of carrying forward the legacy of the Social work done by our patron Lt. Dr. Jagannath Shankar Kelkar.
Dr. J.S.Kelkar was professionally a doctor and was an epitome of selflessness catering to the needs of the society that weren’t met via anyone else around.
He also served a solid eleven years tenure as the Chairman of the Ratnagiri Municipal Council (Nagar-adhyaksha of the Nagar Parishad) and was directly elected by the people without opposition.
In his lifetime he has pioneered numerous organizations in several streams of life ranging from Educational Societies, Temple foundations, Sports Associations to Healthcare Initiatives. He also served as the Ratnagiri District President of BJP and was instrumental in its growth.

Dr. Hrishikesh Kelkar is a young and dynamic working in versatile fields. He is graduated as a doctor (MBBS) and later accomplished a post-graduation in Business Administration from reputed institutes. Initially he worked as a Medical Officer in super-specialty hospitals between 2018 to 2020. Currently, he owns a Medical Institute cum Placement Consultancy. Inspired by his grandfather, he started working in the Social Service field under the banner of "Lifeline Ratnagiri" from 2018. In order to promote the legacy of his late grandfather, Dr. Kelkar decided to establish a dedicated organization that would mark its spot pan India in a professional way. In 2022, Dr. Kelkar along with his spouse established the Dr. J.S.Kelkar Memorial Foundation to make this dream of his grandfather come true.

Adv. Ashwini Kelkar is a brilliant young mind thriving in multiple fields all at once. She is an accomplished lawyer as well as an avid freelance artist excelling in paintings and arts. She possesses an extreme zeal to work for the welfare of the society, as a result of which, today she is the co-founder and the executive director of the foundation. She handles the legal and financial compliances alongside Social Media Management and Administration work of the foundation.
